Léa Nature's raison d'être: "healthy, natural and organic products that respect health and nature".

A brand committed to sustainable cosmetics made with healthy products, Léa Nature's raison d'être reflects the brand's commitment to the Cosmébio® label through its "environmental philanthropy".

A raison d'être reinforced by our status as a company with a mission

Léa Nature's raison d 'être is based on two strands of its DNA: the meaning of its activities and the guarantee of its independence:

  • "Offering healthy, natural and organic products that respect human health and natureOur aim is to offer healthy, natural and organic products that are respectful of human health and nature, accessible to as many people as possible, and to promote local economies in the fields of food, health, beauty care and home products.
  • "Ensure its independence to guarantee the continuity of its missionof its mission, local presence, jobs and development.

In October 2019, Léa Nature was the first mid-sized company (ETI) to declare its status as a company with a mission, through three social and environmental objectives

  1. "Measuring and limiting the impact of its activities on the climate through the following actions Developing local organic sourcing and supply chains, building organic production units in France, optimizing our energy consumption, optimizing modes of transport and flows.
  2. "Facilitate access for our employees to electric vehicles with zero CO2 emissions.
  3. "Support environmental protection NGOs through the 1% for the Planet program.to raise awareness of the health-environment link through the Léa Nature / Jardin BiO Foundation."

Transparent communication: mission adopted in 2019, monitored in 2020 and audited in 2021

Léa Nature assumes its mission on the front page of its corporate website, in support of its signature "Engagés par nature, bio par conviction" ("Committed by nature, organic by conviction").

One year after declaring its status as a company with a mission, Léa Nature has issued a press release to take stock of the experience, and to highlight the process of formalizing its raison d'être and becoming a company with a mission.

The mission committee met for the first time in September 2020 and brings together internal (employees) and external (suppliers, retailer-customers, associations, institutions) stakeholders.

The committee is chaired by Léa Nature's CSR manager. EY has been appointed to verify the implementation of social and environmental objectives. In concrete terms, the first mission accomplishment report and the first audit by OTI are expected during spring 2021.

From Léa nature's raison d'être to its raison d'agir: an example of positive-sum action with "environmental patronage".

Léa Nature's raison d'être and its historical commitment are mutually supportive. In particular, the company is developing four areas of "environmental philanthropy":

  • Agroecology and soil protection
  • Biodiversity
  • Climate and forests
  • Health and the environment

Environmental sponsorship proves the effectiveness of Léa Nature's raison d'être and mission. This translates into financial support as well as advocacy to support the ecological transition of its stakeholders, both upstream and downstream of the cosmetics industry.
